    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • A relevant BEng/BSc or B-Tech (Eng) engineering degree and eligibility for registration as PR Eng or Pr.Tech.
    • 5-8 years of relevant experience post registration.
    • Proven experience in infrastructure development, maintenance, and project management.
    • Valid South African driver’s license and own transport.
    • Computer literacy: (MS Office)
    KNOWLEDGE AND SCOPE OF WORK
    • Manages professional teams and complex engineering functions.
    • Works independently; and
    • Supervise and mentor junior engineering personnel.
    Key Performance Areas (Operational Responsibilities)
    • Manage the Technical Services Department, including water, sanitation, roads, stormwater, electricity, waste management, and municipal fleet.
    • Plan, implement, and maintain municipal infrastructure in line with the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and annual budget.
    • Manage capital projects and Expanded Public Works Programmes (EPWP).
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental, and other relevant legislation.
    • Oversee staff performance, training, and development within the department.
    • Control departmental budget, assets, and expenditure in line with municipal financial policies.
    • Provide technical support to Council and management structures.
    • Ensure effective community service delivery and attend to service delivery complaints and challenges.
