OTHER BENEFITS • Home Owner Allowance (conditions apply) • 13th Cheque (conditions apply) • Medical Aid (Optional) MINIMUM APPOINTMENT AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 12 Certificate. • Enrolled Nurse Certificate. • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) 2026 as a Staff Nurse. Experience Grade 1: None Experience Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Experience Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • Knowledge of Public Service Policies, Acts, Regulations, Code of Conduct, Labour Relations Act, Batho Pele Principles and Patients’ Rights Charter. • Knowledge of SANC rules and regulations. • Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures. • Good communication, writing, facilitation and interpersonal skills. • Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Basic understanding of clinical nursing care within a specialised unit. KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS • Provide basic nursing care within the Orthopaedic Unit under supervision • Assist Professional Nurses with patient care and procedures • Maintain patient hygiene, comfort and safety • Observe and report changes in patient condition • Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges • Maintain accurate records and reports • Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control standards • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care NB: Must be prepared to work shift as per allocation; includes night shift, weekends and Public Holidays.
