Requirements
The candidate must have:
A relevant 4-year degree in social work or equivalent.
Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
1-year Social Work experience.
Valid driver's licence.
Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel extensively.
Added advantage: A qualification in Education and registration with SACE.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge:
Experience of multi-disciplinary teams and project management,
Proficiency in an official African language relevant to the region,
Computer literacy,
knowledge of the National Curriculum Statement and White Paper 6,
Knowledge of policies governing education in general and inclusive education specifically
Social work methods and legislation,
Ability to identify problems and when to refer.
Knowledge of the Batho Pel principles.
Skills:
Good interpersonal and management skills,
Counselling, Problem solving, good listening skills, Conflict resolution, Report writing, Professionalism, Honesty and integrity.
Duties
The successful candidate will have to interview learners with challenging behaviours and do developmental assessments.
Design and implement Individual Development Plans.
Render Therapeutic Services.

Writing reports.
Practice a sound administrative system.
