    Job Purpose

    Provides specialist safety, health, and environmental support to Air Chefs operations. The SHE Business Partner interprets requirements, strengthens site controls, and drives practical improvements across sites to reduce risk, maintain compliance, and protect people, assets, service continuity, and regulatory standing.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related field SHE-related certification such as SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or an equivalent recognised qualification. Experience: 5 to 8 years' experience in safety, health, and environmental management within an operational or manufacturing environment, preferably in a multi-site setting.

    Principal Accountabilities

    SHE Strategy and Governance Reviews SHE requirements, operational risks, and performance trends to develop practical priorities for assigned sites. Defines and implements improvement actions, standards, and monitoring routines to strengthen compliance and reduce repeat issues. Evaluates the effectiveness of existing controls and recommends enhancements to improve safety and environmental outcomes. Compliance, Audit, and Assurance Conducts and coordinates inspections, audits, and workplace assessments to verify adherence to legal, client, and internal requirements. Prepares management reports, trend analyses, and compliance briefings to support informed decision-making. Maintains evidence files and compliance records to support internal review, external inspection, and audit readiness Risk and Incident Management Analyses hazards, incidents, near misses, and investigation findings to identify root causes and practical preventive actions. Guides operational teams on control measures, escalation paths, and risk mitigation plans to reduce exposure. Reviews recurrence patterns and emerging risks to develop targeted interventions and strengthen resilience. Supports post-incident reviews by confirming corrective actions, responsibilities, and completion deadlines Operational Partnership Collaborates with unit leaders to embed SHE requirements into daily operations, change activities, and improvement projects. Translates legislation, standards, and procedures into workable site controls that suit operational realities. Supports managers and supervisors to maintain accountability for corrective actions and performance follow-up. Training and Capability Building Develops SHE awareness sessions, toolbox talks, and focused interventions to strengthen understanding and compliance. Identifies capability gaps from audits, incidents, and trend analysis, and recommends targeted learning actions Supports the onboarding and coaching of junior SHE colleagues on reporting, inspections, and basic investigation practice. Monitors training completion and competence records to ensure learning interventions are current and effective. Emergency Preparedness and Response Evaluates emergency preparedness arrangements, drills, and response lessons to improve readiness and recovery Leads the escalation, containment, and post-incident reviews to ensure accurate reporting and corrective action Documents learnings and coordinates follow-up measures to reduce recurrence and improve response capability. Verifies that response actions, contacts, and emergency resources remain current across assigned sites Stakeholder Engagement Engages internal departments and external parties to resolve SHE issues, align expectations, and secure practical outcomes. Communicates findings and required actions to regulators, inspectors, contractors, and service providers with clarity and credibility.     Knowledge and Skills

    Strong working knowledge of SHE legislation incident investigation audit processes risk assessment methodologies, and compliance management. Demonstrated ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen controls and performance.
