Senior Superintendent

National Diploma in Civil Engineering or preferably a B Degree/Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in roads and stormwater maintenance operations within a municipal or comparable engineering environment, of which at least 2 years must be in a supervisory capacity, overseeing depot operations or managing multi-disciplinary field teams A valid Code B driver’s licence

Manage the Roads and Stormwater depot and its staff and ensure compliance of operational procedures with statutory and regulatory requirements Plans, prioritizes, and schedules road and stormwater maintenance projects, ensuring adequate material, equipment, and personnel resources to achieve programme outcomes Coordinates and controls personnel activities to meet performance goals, ensuring staff productivity and discipline align with operational objectives Manage specialised Roads and Stormwater maintenance programmes/projects and general repair works ensuring quality and cost compliance with specifications, contracts, and work orders Performs and oversees administrative functions related to the depot operations Manage the operational budget and its processes Undertake Management reporting How to Apply By submitting your application for a position at the City of Cape Town, you are consenting to the use of your personal information provided as part of your application and/or Recruitment process for Recruitment and Selection purposes.
