JOB PURPOSE
To provide planning, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company's information
systems, infrastructure, applications, and technology services to enable efficient service delivery, informed
decision-making, business continuity, and organisational resilience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strengthening IT Governance and Risk Management.
• Ensure stable and reliable IT Operations.
• Optimize technology to support Joburg Markets operations.
• Provide Strategic support to the Chief Information Officer.
• Define and build IT architecture for Joburg Markets systems.
• Define, communicate and enforce IT policies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct strategy analysis, industry and commodity analysis to align IT to Smart Market Strategy.
• Budgeting and project management of IT projects.
• Vendor Management and Contract Governance within the business unit.
• Procurement and asset management of IT hardware and software.
• Manage IT security, network and system administration.
• Manage Desktop and Helpdesk support.
• Compile and submit reports as required.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties assigned.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Pro ject management.
• Network system administration expertise
• IT governance.
• Change management.
• Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree/Btech (NQF 7) in Information Technology/ Computer Systems/IT Project Management or related.
EXPERIENCE
• 5 years’ experience at Middle Management Level.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
• NQF Level 8 in related field or above.
• Knowledge of the local government environment.
