The Senior Manager: Facilities and Logistics Management is accountable for the strategic oversight, management, and optimisation of SEDFA’s facilities, infrastructure, and logistics operations across all regions nationally. The role ensures that all physical assets, workplaces, and support services are safe, compliant, cost effective, and fit for purpose, enabling operational efficiency and uninterrupted service delivery in support of SEDFA’s developmental mandate.
Requirements
Qualifications NQF Level 8 in Facilities Management, Logistics, Engineering, Built Environment, or related field NQF Level 9 in Facilities Management, Logistics, Engineering, Built Environment, or related field advantageous Experience 6 years’ experience in facilities and logistics management, with national or multi-site oversight Experience within a public entity or regulated environment. Extensive experience in end-to-end facilities management, including: Building operations and maintenance; Lease and property management; Space utilisation and office optimization; Security, cleaning, and soft services management; Proven ability to ensure facilities are safe, compliant, and operationally fit for purpose; Experience managing both leased and owned properties, including lease negotiations, renewals, and landlord engagements Competencies Facilities and Infrastructure Management Logistics and Asset Management Strategic Planning and Oversight Governance, Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge Contract and Service Provider Management
Duties
Develop and implement SEDFA’s Facilities and Logistics Management Strategy aligned to organisational objectives Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimisation of all SEDFA buildings, offices, and infrastructure Oversee logistics and support services, including fleet management, travel logistics, asset movement, and warehousing (where applicable) Ensure compliance with PFMA, OHS legislation, environmental standards, and SEDFA policies. Manage facilities and logistics budgets in line with approved allocations Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards across all facilities Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of facilities and logistics processes. Engage with internal stakeholders, regional offices, landlords, municipalities, and service providers Monitor and support staff performance through implementing the performance management system.
