HESSEQUA MUNICIPALITY The Hessequa Municipality requires the services of a suitable person in the following permanent vacancy: Senior Inspector: Traffic Services – Hessequa Municipal Area (Ref: G114) T11 – R373 129 to R484 357 gross salary per annum Requirements: Grade 12 • Basic traffic training • Code A and EC driver’s licenses with no endorsements • Computer literate • No criminal record • Examiner of vehicle and Examiner of Driver’s License certificate (Grade A) Firearm proficiency • Five to eight years’ relevant experience required of which two to three years must be supervisory experience. Duties: Enforce the National Road Traffic Act as well as the Municipal by-laws and policies • Conduct site inspections • Planning and execution of road marking operations and traffic signage • Participate in Performance Management processes • Supervision • Enforce compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act • Load requisitions • Stock control • Compile and submit reports • Maintain records of complaints • Provide data to support budget planning • Issue summonses and notices • Execute warrants of arrest • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders • Handle enquiries • Conduct road safety audits • Impound vehicles.
