    Job Purpose

    The Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual topromote community police relations and violence prevention with safety partners, through integrated service delivery.

    Minimum Requirements

    An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience; A valid (Code B or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

    Support and maintain good relations between the Department and safety partners (i.e.Community Police Forums (CPFs), Neighbourhood Watch (NHWs), district municipalities,Community Safety Forums (CSFs),South African Police Services (SAPS);Administer the Community Safety funding system;Conduct formal assessments on the functionality of the safety partners [e.g. Community Safety Forums (CSFs);Facilitate effective and efficient communication with safety partners and stakeholders;Managerial/Supervisory functions.
