POSITION : PROJECT TECHNICIAN SECTION : PMU REFERENCE NO : PT1/06/2026 REMUNERATIONS : In accordance with Job Level 6-5 of Merafong City Local Municipality (R452 056.66 - R475 563.76 – R496 150.28 – R520 281.56 – R546 687.95 per annum excluding benefits) REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 • National Diploma in Engineering and registration as a Pr Techn Eng will be added advantage • 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience in the field of engineering • Computer literacy: MS Office Drivers Licence RESPONSIBILITIES: •Technical support and evaluation of proposed projects in alignment with the respective municipal IDP’s and the regional and provincial growth and development plans from initiating stage to project close out. • Preparing comprehensive business plans, feasibility studies, backlog studies, technical reports, preliminary designs and cash flows on proposed projects • Ensuring compliance of all legal aspects and conditions, required from the different spheres of government • Coordinating reporting requirements in line with the Provincial and Municipal framework • Co-ordinating regular project meetings • Conducting site visits/meetings to ensure compliance to business plan conditions and daily quality control.
