Remuneration

Duties (key result areas/outputs)
Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan (clinical practice or patient care). Implement standards, practices, criteria, and indicators for quality nursing (quality ofpractice). Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain constructive working relationship with nursing and otherstakeholders. Utilize human, material, and physical resources efficiently and effectively.
Registration with a professional council
Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
Inherent requirements of the job
Must be willing to assist or rotate to other wards within the institution . Willingness to work shifts, night shift and overtime when required.
Experience
Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
Minimum educational qualification
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R254) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. OR A 4-year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R1497 or R171 plus R1497) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
