Requirements
BEng, BSC (Eng), BTech in Engineering. Professional Registration (PrEng / PrEng Tech) with Engineering Council of South Africa. Eight (8) years’ relevant post graduate experience. Advanced Computer Literacy.
Duties
Oversee design and development of Decision Support Systems focusing on engineering, designs, specifications, while managing multi-disciplinary project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. Identifies, defines and undertakes immediate, short- and long-term planning associated with system development and data management and other project implementation. Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel. Develop, update and maintain a Bulk Water Decision support and Data Management System including the interpretation and analysis of data. Manages the communication and relationships between various stakeholders. Explore and implement new ways of delivering services that contribute to the improvement of municipal processes in order to achieve the goals. Drawing of correspondence of a more complex and involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the Branch, including preparation of capital and operating estimates within a planned project. Manages and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations. Collating information from field reports, inspection and contractual documentation. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Must be physical fit.
