The position also entails managing the processes for transfers and resettlements at exit, ensuring that all separations from the department are handled smoothly and in line with policy. A critical technical duty is supervising the initiation of remuneration and allowances on the PERSAL system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Beyond these specific tasks, the officer is responsible for managing the unit’s allocated resources, ensuring compliance with corporate governance, and driving team performance. This includes allocating work, assuring quality, resolving motivational and control issues, developing staff, conducting performance assessments, and applying disciplinary measures where necessary.
