Requirements
An appropriate bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma in Transport management/Logistics or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 1– 2 years’ experience in fleet management environment. 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience in transport management. Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge and understanding of pertinent policies related to PFMA, national Treasury Regulations, Government Motor transport Handbook Version 1 of 2019, Version 1 of 2017, Batho Pele Principles and Code of Conduct. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills. Computer literacy, an ability to work in a team and independent. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure. Clientele/customer relation skills. Good interpersonal skills, decision making skills and presentation skills. A must have a valid drivers’ license. DUTIES: Ensuring day-to-day management and maintenance of fleet vehicles. Monitor daily kilometers before and after trips and ensure monthly closing of kilometers on the logbooks. Authorize trip itineraries/ trip authorization. Receive and certify invoices for processing monthly payments. Maintain records of driver’s licenses and trip authorization. Ensure service maintenance of vehicles. Redirect traffic fines. Pre-and-post inspections of vehicles. Perform other related tasks as per supervisor’s instructions and willingness to adapt to work schedule in accordance with office . Supervise and monitor drivers to ensure compliance with transport policies,road traffic regulations, and organizational procedures. Provide general administration support services and maintain a proper filing and archive system, Management of staff Leave, PMDS and Workplans, Ensure completion of performance agreements by all employees in the unit. N.B. All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a relevant competency exercise. Good knowledge of Skills Development Act 1998 (SDA), Trade Test Regulations, Criteria and Guidelines for the implementation of Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL). Knowledge of National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) and the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point). report writing, planning, organizing, verbal and written communication skills. presentation skills, problem solving, administration, filing and time management skills.
Duties
Recommend Trade Test Registration leaves. Manage PMDS for the Trade Test Registration. Ensure that compliant candidates are registered and confirmation of trade test date is issued. Advise qualifying, non-qualifying applicants and stakeholders with the registration processes. Extracting files for investigation, validation and audit queries. Attend all enquiries, these include trade test registration, trade test dates, certificates and results telephonically, walk-ins or email. Consolidate monthly stats and submit them to the Assistant Director for consolidation. Verify applications for the recommendation of certificates prior submitting to NAMB and Prepare invoices and submit to Supply Chain Management for processing. N.B.
