    PL1 LECTURER: REPORT 191: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

    Requirements: Grade 12 / NCV level 4 or equivalent, plus an appropriate three years Diploma/Bachelor's Degree (NQF 6) in Electrical Engineering. A qualified Artisan would be an added advantage. One year' work experience. Sound subject knowledge and work related applications. Teaching qualification will be an added advantage. Computer literacy and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), organizing, planning and administration skills. Ability to plan and deliver lessons. Ability to relate to students in a professional manner and to promote a conducive teaching and learning environment, SACE registration, computer literacy. A valid driver's license would be an added advantage

    Duties: Prepare lesson plans and lecture students in compliance with the College Annual Academic plan, the time-table and the College Quality Management System. Must be able to teach Industrial Electronics N4 – N6, Electrotechnics N6 and Fault Finding N4 – N5. Set and moderate assessments (Pre and Post moderation). Assess students, maintain assessment records and capture marks electronically in compliance with the college policies and procedures. Monitor students 'performance and provide critical feedback in an objective and professional manner. Create a conducive classroom environment and ensure efficient classroom management and discipline of students. Report to the Senior Lecturer and liaise with the Student Support Services.
