    Requirements

    Grade 10 certificate (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 6 years relevant experience as an operator on a construction equipment inclusive of a grader; A valid code EC1 driving license with a professional driving permit (PDP). Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Construction plant; Mechanical maintenance of construction plant; General Road maintenance; Tools; Tar and gravel road surfaces; Skills in the following: Logical thinking; Good communication (written and verbal); Be able to manage conflict situations with staff and public; High regard for health and safety; Good leadership and self-driven with minimum supervision.

    Duties

    Maintain gravel roads and gravel elements on road network to ensure safe driving surface for the travelling public; Needs analyses of gravel patchwork; Responsible for surfaced road maintenance to ensure safe driving surface for road for travelling public; Supervision of staff.
