FOSKOR HUMAN RESOURCES VACANCY: EXTERNAL READVERTISMENT - PHALABORWA BULLETIN NO. 1266/2026 Officer Emergency Services (Position No. 2586) Level 7 20000091 – Loss Control Emergency Service 2026-07-07 POSITION: GRADING: C/C: PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The purpose of the job is to execute Emergency Service from the fire station. To execute, organise and coordinate all emergencies at Foskor. Ensuring readiness of all emergency equipment on Foskor. Supervise in rescuing operations (Special Rescue and Medivacs). Supervise in the clean-up operations of hazardous substances. QUALIFICATION; EXPERIENCE AND EXPOSURE REQUIRED: Qualifications: • National Diploma in Fire Technology / National Diploma in Emergency Medical Care services • Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate • Fire Fighting 1 and 2 • Hazmat Awareness Certificate • Hazmat Operations Certificate Training/ Professional Body: • Fire appliance reconditioning course • SAQCC Certificate and Registration • Rescue from heights certificate • Breathing apparatus certificate • Recharging of breathing apparatus cylinders • Certificate in Fire Prevention • Assessor • RPO • HAZMAT Response Training • SHREQ Training requirements • VTS status: Orange - Green Experience: • 5 years’ experience in Emergency/ Medical / Fire Fighting operational experience • 5 years’ experience in Team Leader/ Supervisory position HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS: • Ensure readiness of all emergency equipment on Foskor • Supervise in the clean-up operations of hazardous substances • Assisting when there are power supply disruptions and flooding • Facilitating and develop training regarding all fire, rescue and emergency needs • Ensure that all emergency vehicles are standby ready for emergencies • Assist local community as requested by the local fire prevention association regarding all emergencies (FPA) • Advise management on emergency policy and planning • Recommend candidates for proto team • Oversee and participate in emergency drills helping departments in the planning and executing • Participate in HAZOP studies • Investigate all emergency activities are required by management • Compile annual budget of operational and capital expenditure • Monitor and control operation expenditure of the cost centre APPOINTMENT WILL BE IN LINE WITH COMPANY POLICY ON EMPLOYMENT EQUITY ENQUIRIES: HUMAN RESOURCES – 015 789 2273/2000 Applications are to be sent to [email protected] or handed to HR Department before or by closing date of 16 July 2026 at 10:00.
