    Requirements

    Degree in Occupational Therapy. Completion of Community Service Year in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist with independent practitioner status, plus current 0registration for the period of 2026/2027. Computer literacy (MS Word and MS Excel). Knowledge of the public service legislations, policies and procedures. Good written and communication skills. Ability to work as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Analytical thinking, independent decision making and problem-solving skills

    Duties

    Assessment and treatment of patients with different physical conditions (medical, surgical, pediorthopedic) and psychiatric conditions. Work assessments and writing reports for clients including SASSA forms will be an advantage. Issuing of assistive devices. Contribute to resource management. Contribute to training and development. Manage allocated human resources and departmental resources. Clinical Service delivery. Be responsible for any relevant duties of an OT. Participate in Continuous Professional Development.
