    SALARY SCALE : R337, 622.00 – R438, 266.00 PER ANNUM (PLUS BENEFITS)

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • Matric.
    • National Diploma in Safety Management or relevant qualification majoring in Occupational Health and Safety or safety management at NQF 6.
    • At least 3 years work- related experience in occupational health and safety.
    • SAMTRAC Course Certificate
    • Proof of Computer Literacy
    • Valid Driver's License

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ( Include but not limited to):
    • Coordinates and implements organization change and development through input on the formulation of Occupational Health and Safety policies, strategy, procedures and Controls.
    • Coordinate and enforce compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and other applicable laws,
    • Implement Occupational Health and Safety operating plans, programs and standards for implementation.
    • Conduct risk assessments and hazard management.
    • Conducting Health and Safety inspections within the workplace.
    • Keep records of all safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
    • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, provide direction on courses of action for execution and compile required reports with recommendations as per legislation and regulations.
    • Co-ordinating emergency planning and evacuation of Municipal Buildings and work areas.
    • Disseminate information on outcomes, current developments, problems and constraints and provide educational material on workplace safety.
    • Analysing and reviewing reports of injuries, property damage, occupational diseases and public liability incidents.
    • Co-ordinating emergency planning and evaluation of Municipal Buildings and work areas.

    - Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees and contractors.
    - Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of medical assessments and vaccination programmes

    Requirements
