Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant B-Degree or National Diploma or NQF Level 6
- Examiner of Driver's License and Examiner of Vehicle Diplomas
- 3-5 years' Experience in Licensing Environment
- No Criminal Record
- A Valid Driver's License (A+EC)
- Extensive Knowledge of E-NaTIS
- Computer Literacy
- Knowledge of Applicable Legislation
- Negotiation, People Management and Report writing skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the DLTC and VTS operations by ensuring proper planning and alignment to divisional strategies
- Manage a functional unit within a division that is accountable for the delivery of set objectives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an operational strategy for the business area
- Communicate a meaningful operational context that promotes the implementation of best practice
- Plan and manage operational strategy and activities in line with divisional objectives
- Anticipate problems and resolve timely, and communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient exceptional customer service and compliance with the Batho Pele principles
- Coordinate, prioritize, direct, control and enhance resources to produce results and meet operational objectives and goals
- Utilize understanding of policy, laws, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices.
- Establish, implement and manage operational governance to manage risk and processes in the context of organisational policy and for investigation and resolution
- Manage and administer financial processes and report any deviations.
- Undertake and manage the scholars outreach project.
- Manage and ensure that the Department's business plan is aligned with the IDP and the GDS to represent the Department and address stakeholders concerns as per Council resolve
- Manage and oversee teams to identify required performance parameters and clarify roles to achieve operational goals
- Manage human resources activities of the DLTC & VTS to ensure adequate staffing and compliance to legislation
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual budgets and financial reports Coordinate and participate in Ad-hoc / Special Law-Enforcement and Crime Prevention operations
