2. Position: Manager Human Settlement L2-1 (Development planning: Human settlements division) Commencing salary: R642 816 - R677 832 - R750 924 and other benefits (Plus travelling allowance of 950 KM per month) Requirements: Degree/B-Tech in Built Environment or an equivalent qualification. Five (5) years’ relevant experience, of which three (3) years must be at a supervisory level, preferably in the same field. Knowledge of housing standards, relevant legislation and project management would be an added advantage. A valid code B driver's license is required. KPA’s Inter alia: Inform and educate communities on the requirements for low-cost housing determined by the Department of Human Settlements. Assess and determine housing needs within the municipal area to support effective planning and service delivery. Communicate and collaborate with the Provincial Department of Human Settlements regarding housing demands, housing allocations and housing projects in progress. Compile and submit comprehensive reports to Management and Council. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure that Councillors are informed of project progress, community concerns and housing development initiatives. Communicate with the Portfolio Councillor, Ward Councillors and other Councillors regarding general housing matters and specific housing projects.
