Requirements
• A recognised qualification at NQF Level 7 in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Public Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience at Assistant Director level.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office package).
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, PSBC resolutions, and directives.
• Competencies:
o Strategic and visionary leadership
o Project management and change management
o Financial management and budgeting
o Diversity and programme management
o Accountability and ethical conduct
o Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills
o Excellent communication (verbal and written)
o Client orientation and customer focus
o Conflict management and problem-solving
Duties
• Manage overall administration and support departments, including security, facilities management, logistics, patient administration and IT services.
• Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans.
• Manage budgets in line with government regulations.
• Provide advice and guidance aligned with the vision, mission, and objectives of the Department.
• Monitor and ensure effective implementation of departmental policies.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to establish sound hospital and community relationships.
• Ensure the facility is compliant with Occupational Health and Safety and environmental health for staff and users
• Promote leadership and governance structures
• Monitor infrastructure and maintenance plans and their implementation
