    Job Purpose

    Develop long and short term maintenance plans in line with CAMO services requirements, in compliance to maintenance programs as per the prescribed limitations by executing and organising maintenance forecast activities for continued airworthiness.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Grade 12 with Maths & Science - ESSENTIAL Must be a qualified aviation technician with 8 years post apprenticeship experience in Aircraft Maintenance and an N6 or National Diploma in engineering - ESSENTIAL OR Must be a qualified Type 2 certified mechanical or avionics technician with 4 years’ in certified experience in Aircraft Maintenance - ESSENTIAL Aircraft Maintenance Aviation 8 years’ experience - Essential Certified technician MRO 4 years’ experience - Essential

    Principal Accountabilities

    1. Compile and schedule maintenance requirements in accordance with SAAT procedures for regulatory compliance and continued airworthiness. Coordinate technical requirements to maintain serviceability of aircraft and its components, data collection to aid the development of campaigns/programs, engineering orders, other fleet data corrections. Implement respective maintenance programs for on time delivery, by scheduling maintenance requirements and controlling of life limitations from various source documents for regulatory compliance and zero negative limits. Compile complete work packs, schedule maintenance checks and maintain a system of monitoring and controlling maintenance requirements or activities in accordance to SAAT procedures, SLA’s and limitations. Coordinate, create and plan third party maintenance packages for quotations as required. Plan and control the accomplishment of the required maintenance of aircraft, its components and engines in the MIS to conform to predetermined life limits, including special inspections and programs as required. Perform maintenance planning to achieve a well-balanced maintenance forecast and optimum service yields, for a safe and reliable revenue operation. Analyse utilization for the maintain the maintenance forecast and limit control for continued airworthiness. Ensure that all aircraft receives correct maintenance continuously even when out of service as per OEM recommendations. Support all CAMO activities as required 2. Create a communicative channel between operators, maintenance and support areas on maintenance requirements and reporting. Provide expert information for others in the organization and/or externally, on maintenance requirements and status. Attend operational meetings and liaise with production areas for the coordination of activities and downtime between departments. Introduce new or improved systems/methods to improve the processes and efficiency. This includes review of industry developments and adoption of best practices. Provide the support and resolutions of in-service problems or maintenance queries to maintain/improve maintenance flow and render logistical support. Assist in co-ordinating the preparatory data insertion requirements for new/used aircraft and its components into the MIS. Maintain a complete and updated list of pending/deferred tasks and authorise deferments where required. Report back all maintenance executed and ensure system update. Liaise, obtain approvals and negotiate extensions in order to improve aircraft availability to reach an acceptable compromise from customers on their flight and maintenance schedules. 3. Work with the team leader on projects or as a team member on allocated projects. 4. Perform in-depth independent maintenance limitation analysis and production data on limits for accuracy and relevance prior to scheduling for effectiveness and compliance. 5. Compile, analyse and evaluate work scopes as required.
