    Requirements

    A Master's Degree in Jewellery Design (The candidate must obtain all the undergraduate underpinning qualifications within the field of study) At least two (2) years’ lecturing experience in Higher Education Recommendation: Working knowledge of Digital Modelling & Rhino Software At least two (2) years’ Industry experience in Jewellery manufacturing techniques and processes A portfolio of evidence may be requested Competencies Excellent Communication Skills Good organizing & planning skills Administrative Skills Technical/Professional knowledge Interpersonal Skills Strong Learner focus Adaptability Coaching Skills Continuous Learning High level presentation skills Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design Specialist knowledge: Photography for visual communication design

    Duties

    Lectures subjects within the field of Jewellery Design Participate in curriculum development Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department Participate in research Contribute towards community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum. Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies, and research projects Assist with marketing and recruitment activities (incl. – Career Day and Open Deay Events) Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
