    To evaluate the financial implications risks associated with contracts and decisions and to ensure that SITA complies with all applicable laws and regulations as well as the relevant policies of the company by performing regular risks assessments and developing action plans to address weaknesses

    Requirements

    Minimum: Finance related Degree (at least NQF Level 7) A Postgraduate diploma in Finance/Accounting (NQF level 8) and finance related professional membership (CIMA; CA(SA)) will be an added advantage. Experience: 6-7 years relevant experience in financial reporting and analysis as well as experience in auditing articles. Good knowledge of the PFMA and Treasury regulations; Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Companies Act, GRAP, GAAP, VAT Act, Income Tax act, etc.; Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Analysis; Good understanding of Risk Management and Control; Ability to review processes and draft appropriate policies and procedures; dentification of and management of risk; Implementation and monitoring of internal controls; System processes; Ability to analyse information and recommend corrective action; Ability to make an informed decisions; Experience in preparing financial schedules including disclosures as it relates to Financial reporting; Effective Presentation skills; Report writing skills. Financial Accounting The process of recording, summarizing, and reporting the myriad of transactions resulting from business operations over a period of time. Business Writing Conveys written information and business reports in a detailed and effective manner to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the message. Project/Programme Management The management of projects/programmes, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. The adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.     Duties

    Develop and implement policies and procedures for the environment and ensure compliance with applicable legislation. Human Capital Management Manage Certification for the function to facilitate achievement relevant certifications. Coordinate and manage the department risk register by performing departmental risk assessment and implement action plans or/and internal controls to manage risks to acceptable levels Draft strategies and plans to promote and ensure sound governance within the Finance division To develop and finalise required reports to stakeholders. Perform assessments of irregular expenditure and fruitless and wasteful expenditure ?Prepare irregular expenditure condonations submissions Prepare irregular expenditure removal submissions.
