Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy. Experience: Appropriate experience in general laundry functions. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work overtime, e.g. after- working hours, weekends and public holidays when operational needs require. Physically fit and be able to hear and speak clearly. Perform hard physical tasks, e.g. pushing heavy linen trolleys to and from the linen bank and wards. Load and offload of heavy linen bags 25kg + between facilities and Central Laundry. Drivers licence to transport linen to central laundry. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to sort, sluice and count linen of dirty and fouled linen. Ability to communicate (verbal and written). Knowledge of stock and infection control.

Provide a professional linen service to the institution Ensure effective and efficient stock control Ensure safe and hygienic working area standards Provide support withing the support service environment. Adheres to loyal service ethics. Provide support to supervisor.
