    Requirements

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To facilitate the functioning and maintenance of laboratory and equipment associated with the sustainable mining programme.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Laboratory managementEffective management of laboratory infrastructure associated with the Sustainable Mining Programme; adherence to occupational health and safety standards.Administration and ProcurementAdministrative tasks, including inventory control, associated with equipment and the acquisition of specialised equipment, consumables and materials in the Sustainable Mining Programme.Teaching and Research SupportProvision of technical and operational support to academic staff and students in teaching, practical sessions, and research activities associated with the Sustainable Mining Programme.Technical SupportMaintenance of equipment, facilities and infrastructure associated with the Sustainable Mining Programme.
