PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To fill a permanent position  in SPSE in the subject group Curriculum Studies on the Vanderbijlpark Campus. To carry out duties relating to teaching & learning, research, and community engagement for the subject group Curriculum Studies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching and learningDemonstrated experience in teaching and learning in a secondary/higher education context, in Curriculum Studies or a related field.Demonstrated ability to design, assess, and moderate undergraduate and postgraduate learning activities.Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, study guide development and the preparation of teaching and learning materials.Demonstrated ability to use learning management systems and educational technologies to support teaching, learning, and assessment.Demonstrated involvement in research and furthering own qualification.ResearchThe furthering of own qualifications. Involvement in general research (e.g., publishing in accredited journals, presenting papers at conferences).Support and involvement in a research entity.Community engagementBe involved in or initiate community engagement projects.Academic leadershipInvolvement in school and faculty committees.Contribute to advising students and recruitment activities.
