Requirements
A PhD/Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering. Have served as a Senior Lecturer for at least five years at a university level. At least three years of administration work at a departmental level. A proven track record in research (minimum of 5 articles published in DHET- accredited journals). Membership of relevant academic/professional bodies/associations. Leadership and management Programme development Knowledge of quality assurance, Higher Education Policies Frameworks/Sub-Framework Strategic planning and implementation Academic and professional standing in the field of expertise, and academic credibility amongst peers Ability to supervise postgraduate students Strategic planning and implementation exposure Exposure to curriculum development Retirement Age: The retirement age is 65 years. Five-year performance-based contract with the expectation of the successful incumbent to be able to serve the full five-year term.
