HANDYMAN: MECHANICAL SERVICES (PUMPS) MECHANICAL SERVICES & FLEET MANAGEMENT (INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES) MOSSEL BAY PERMANENT APPOINTMENT APPLICANTS RESIDING WITHIN THE MOSSEL BAY MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES SHALL RECEIVE PREFERENCE ONLY HARDCOPY APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED REQUIREMENTS (Relevant proof / documentation must accompany application) • Studying towards a trade certificate or 1 years’ experience in Mechanical Fitting/Mechanical Engineering • Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime • Must not suffer from claustrophobia • Required to be on standby PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS • Grade 9 (NQF Level 1) • Code B Drivers Licence • 1 Years’ experience COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Action orientation • Impact and influencing • Team Orientation • Planning and organising • Use of technology • Interpersonal relationships • Service delivery orientation • Resilience • Discipline specific skills • Cognitive ability • Learning orientation • Problem solving KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Assisting the Fitter with maintenance on water and sewer installations • Assist with traffic control measures when performing tasks in the road • Look for hazards and report to artisan • Loads and off-loads tools and materials • Removing and isolating defective parts and components from workshop area • Assist with routine inspections of equipment to ensure normal operation • Assist Fitter on standby and after hours with emergencies • Perform activities associated with maintenance and repairs SALARY SCALE: All-inclusive total package of ±R255 483.43– R316 120.91 per annum. Benefits eg medical aid scheme, pension fund, group life scheme, 13th cheque included. BASIC SALARY: R159 666.60 – R206 239.56 per annum (T5)
