Requirements
An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree) in Journalism, Communication Science, Public Relations or any other study field related to the position At least six years’ relevant working experience in a media liaison environment Supervisory experience will be an added advantage A valid Code B driving licence Computer literacy Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost Personal attributes Strategic thinking skills with strong innovation capability; high emotional and/or competencies intelligence; ability to be professional, ethical and accountable; ability to be detail-oriented with strong organisational capability; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
Duties
Be responsible for media relations by drafting content, monitoring media coverage and ensuring consistency and positive public messaging Produce high-quality media statements and releases to secure positive coverage
