SALARY : R 241 400.08 per Annum (PL 8/4)
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 10/ or equivalent technical qualification. Basic computer literacy: MS Word/Excel, Code 8/10 driver’s license. A candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant technical experience and be able to follow verbal and written instructions. No criminal record of any kind.
COMPETENCIES
Candidate be punctual at work all the time. Be able to read and understand basic documents and work with other team members. Be able to follow basic verbal instructions as contained in written communication and be able to respond in writing to basic types of communication. Candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates must have knowledge of how to deal with and handle confidential information and have sound judgment on matters that are sensitive and can deal with issues responsibly. Candidate must be able to communicate at least in English.
DUTIES Maintenance of gravel/surface roads/stormwater channels/canals/trenches daily. Display personal interest in the well-being of colleagues and be able to identify and implement corrective action on routine tasks and within authority delegated at this level. Manage multiple teams by using time efficiency and preventing irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with completion. Monitor and control activities by maintaining a lot of work, production, or maintenance.
