Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial: Partnership Funding The successful candidate will conduct financial due diligence and feasibility studies on existing and prospective clients. Develop financial models for joint venture funds and financial intermediaries. Provide support to the Senior Manager, Commercial: Partnership Funding and Investment Principals in carrying out their duties.
Requirements
Qualifications NQF Level 8 qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field. Level 9 qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field will be an added advantage Experience 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in development finance, banking, lending, investment management or corporate finance. Expertise in building complex financial models (Project finance, corporate finance, cash flow forecasting, sensitivity /scenario analysis) Ability to access viability returns (IRR, DCSR, etc.) and investments risks Deep understanding of financial compliance and policies Competencies Financial Analysis and Evaluation Financial Modelling Due Diligence and Risk Assessment Investment Analysis: Credit Assessment: Corporate Finance Knowledge: Financial Compliance and Governance
Duties
Conducting financial viability studies of prospective customers. Negotiate terms and conditions with partners and clients in consultation with Relationship Managers and/or Investment Principals. • Draft proposed financial terms and conditions and deal structure. Analyse financial projections of individual funding applications and prepare a write-up for inclusion in the submission documents to the relevant approval committees. Review of client compliance with financiais targets. Monitor client financial covenants compliance Monitor portfolio performance in terms of financiais targets. Take full accountability for feasibility studies and financial analysis on clients. Making recommendations to the Senior Manager/Investment Principal Recommend applications for due diligence. Recommend deal structure and applications for approval
