Requirements
A Degree / National Diploma or equivalent at NQF level 7, At least three years relevant experience in a Higher Education environment. The following would be advantageous: Knowledge of university administrative systems Experience working as a Faculty Administrative Officer Experience with committee administration Experience with promotions Proficiency in computer programmes/software packages Experience with the SASI & MAS systems Key competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently under pressure and without supervision High degree of confidentiality The ability to collaborate with various stakeholders Planning and organizing skills Excellent time management skills Intermediate to expert user of computer office applications Report writing and minute taking skills High level of stress tolerance *A full Job Description is available on request. Duties
Through its pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and community service, the Faculty of Dentistry is committed to promoting and transforming oral health services in South Africa. The Faculty plays an active role in producing graduates of the highest standards for oral health delivery, and has gained international recognition through its community-based and professional approach to education. The Faculty Office plays a key role in supporting the Academic Programme. Purpose of the job: To provide administrative support to the Faculty Office in respect of all Faculty administrative processes, in order to ensure alignment and compliance with central administrative systems and procedures; and to provide a professional support service to academics, students and staff. Reporting to the Faculty Manager, the appointee’s duties will include, but not be limited to the administration and execution of the following tasks: Academic Administration Enquiry Management Committee Administration Marketing and Recruitment General Administration Performing any other administrative duties as may be assigned by the Dean or Faculty Manager
