    Job Purpose
    • To provide through the Faculty Office an administrative service to both Academic Staff and students and prospective students.
    • To ensure effective and efficient rendering of quality services by way of accurate data capturing, database administration, records management.
    • To work as a team member through contributing to the faculty office’s activities, which require team support including but not limited to registrations of learners, academic structure maintenance on ITS and graduation identification amongst other.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements: Grade 12. A Diploma in Office Management and Technology / Business Administration or related field or, equivalent qualification is recommended. Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience in a faculty office environment or higher education environment with at least 1 year in a faculty office environment. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Data base, Word processing, Excel and Powerpoint). Working knowledge and familiar with systems like MAS, Blackboard, APS, as well as the latest version of ITS amongst others. Competencies Excellent language proficiency in English (verbal and in writing) Contribute and ensure team success Ability to use initiative and adapt to a changing work environment Planning, organizing and time management skills Interpersonal skills / client focused approached High stress tolerance / Ability to work under pressure Attention to detail Managing conflict Technical / professional knowledge and skills in ITS and administration Good interpersonal and communication skills Applied knowledge of MS Suite and Microsoft Outlook

    Administration:  Applications, selection and admissions of students Registration and cancellation of students Exemptions and recognitions for transfer students. Marks Administration Process (computation) Graduation (pre- and post-graduation)  Academic structure of qualifications and knowledge of HEQSF Communication: Effective communication with all stakeholders Record keeping Data management Collate information for capturing on system (weights, sub-minimum, linking lecturer to subject) Check data for correctness Interdepartmental relations Marketing Health & Safety Governance, Risk and Compliance
