Requirements
1. At least a relevant recognized three-year qualification (REQV13) or qualified as a Diesel / Petrol Mechanic with trade test passed (red seal) 2. At least 2-3 years’ experience in the automotive trade 3. Experience in education and training 4. Experience in Blended learning, i.e., innovative teaching practices with the use of educational technology 5. Computer literacy in MS Office 6. Good administrative skills 7. Good communication skills (verbal and written) 8. Ability to assess 9. Knowledge of the Automotive industry, the legislative and regulatory environment, as well as knowledge of, and experience in implementing Occupational Health and Safety regulations and requirements. 10. A valid driver’s license
Duties
1. Providing theoretical and practical training applicable to the respective automotive trade according to predetermined curriculum and lesson frameworks. 2. Assess and/or moderate theoretical and practical competencies of learners in the programme against pre-determined requirements. 3. Ensure that training equipment, workshops and related resources are available and in working order. 4. Conducting regular inventory control. 5. Perform administrative and management functions, including preparing and submitting reports to relevant authorities. 6. Attend industry and training workshops as well as other prescribed training to ensure own continuous professional development. 7. Plan delivery of the qualification in such a way that the learners are prepared to complete and pass the relevant assessments and trade test. 8. Manage the scheduling of learner for theory and industry placement according to the dual vocational learning programme.
