Job Purpose: To ensure maintenance and asset management of all electrical and electronic equipment of City of Tshwane waste water treatment works

Requirements
An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree) or BEng or BSc Engineering (Electric/Electronic) or BTech (Electrical/Electronic) or National Higher Diploma (Electrical/Electronic) or in a study field related to the position Registration as a Professional Engineer or Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa will be an added advantage At least six years’ relevant experience in a municipal water environment of which at least three years should be at supervisory level Compliance with the unit standards of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003), as prescribed by Regulation 493 of 15 June 2007, as published in Government Gazette 29967 of 15 June 2007, will be an added advantage A valid Code B driving licence Computer literacy Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost Personal attributes Leadership skills; decision-making skills; negotiating skills; communication skills; and/or competencies analytical thinking skills; presentation skills; project management skills; business acumen; advanced linguistic proficiency; technical and report writing skills; innovative thinking skills; willingness to accept responsibility; ability to meet strict d eadlines; ability to make high-risk decisions of a long-term and strategic nature
Duties
Manage, supervise and coordinate duties carried out by subordinates and workshop personnel at various waste water works Compile preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for maintenance on related equipment
