Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience: Appropriate driving experience. Inherent requirement of the job: Valid code (B/EB) driver’s licence. Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP). Willingness to work overtime. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills (written and verbal). The ability to work independently and be accountable and responsible with good interpersonal skills. Be physically fit and capable of performing duties that require physical exertion. Physical fit to perform transportation duties. Knowledge of Transport Regulations and Circular no 4 of 2000. Knowledge of routine, maintenance, Inspections for defects on vehicles and safe driving skills.
Duties
Ensure an efficient and effective transport service for Primary Health Care and Health Programs at Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub Structure Office. Conduct routine inspecting of the GG vehicles and timely reporting of defects. Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy. Ensure vehicles used are kept clean and tidy. Execute transport duties in relation to a scheduled roster. Ensure an effective daily transport administration duty is rendered and provide support to Supervisor.
