    Remuneration

    Minimum educational qualification

    Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

    Competencies (knowledge/skills)

    Good communication skills (written and verbal). The ability to work independently and be accountable and responsible with good interpersonal skills. Be physically fit and capable of performing duties that require physical exertion. Physical fit to perform transportation duties. Knowledge of Transport Regulations and Circular no 4 of 2000. Knowledge of routine, maintenance, Inspections for defects on vehicles and safe driving skills.

    Inherent requirements of the job

    Valid code (B/EB) driver’s licence. Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP). Willingness to work overtime.

    Experience

    Appropriate driving experience.

Upon appointment, incumbents will be expected to render clinical services across institutions in the Ecosystem, as needed to sustain health service delivery. Please note that, in line with the operational requirements of the Department of Health and Wellness, the Driver will also be required to assist with the offloading and delivery of goods as part of the role's responsibilities.

    Duties (key result areas/outputs)

    Ensure an efficient and effective transport service for Primary Health Care and Health Programs at Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub Structure Office. Conduct routine inspecting of the GG vehicles and timely reporting of defects. Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy. Ensure vehicles used are kept clean and tidy. Execute transport duties in relation to a scheduled roster. Ensure an effective daily transport administration duty is rendered and provide support to Supervisor.
