Director: E-learning

A Doctoral Degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Higher Education Teaching and Learning is advantageous. A Teaching with Technology certification will be advantageous. At least 8–10 years’ experience in higher education teaching and learning. A minimum 5 years’ experience in leadership or management of e-learning or digital education initiatives. Demonstrated experience in: o Learning management systems o Digital course development o Instructional design o Academic staff development Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and digital learning projects. 1 Leadership and Strategic Competencies Strategic leadership and vision Change management Digital transformation leadership Project and programme management Stakeholder engagement Academic and Pedagogical Competencies Expertise in instructional design and digital pedagogy Knowledge of blended learning models Understanding of student learning theories Experience with academic development programmes Technical Competencies Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle or Blackboard) Digital learning tools and platforms Learning analytics systems Multimedia production tools Educational technology integration Interpersonal Competencies Excellent communication skills Strong facilitation and training skills Collaboration and partnership building Problem-solving and innovation

Key performance areas include but are not limited to: Strategic Leadership for Digital Teaching and Learning Development and Management of Digital Learning Infrastructure Academic Staff Development and Capacity Building Digital Course Design and Development Student Digital Learning Support Quality Assurance and Compliance Research, Innovation and Scholarship in Digital Education Resource and Project Management
