    Job Purpose: To support the City of Tshwane’s vision and mission with the aim of managing the City of Tshwane brand in all marketing focus areas and maintaining impartial, accountable, transparent and efficient brand management and advertising services to City departments

    Requirements

    An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree) in Marketing, Brand Management or any other study field related to the position At least nine years’ working experience in a corporate brand management and marketing environment, of which four years should be at managerial level A valid Code B driving licence Computer literacy Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost Personal attributes Strategic thinking skills with strong innovation capability; high emotional and/or competencies intelligence; ability to be professional, ethical and accountable; ability to be detail-oriented with strong organisational capability; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects

    Duties

    Execute management functions, including defining performance indicators, conducting appraisals, identifying skills gaps, implementing human resources policies and ensuring productivity through effective personnel management Oversee financial functions, such as preparing and controlling budgets, verifying project expenditure, monitoring financial performance and compliance with the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003), supply chain management procedures and cost efficiency, and maintaining the section’s asset register Develop and implement strategic objectives, ensure alignment with service delivery requirements, monitor performance indicators and compile business and strategic plans Manage the Brand Management Policy and Development Subsection and the Brand Management Advertising Subsection, including strategy formulation, project management, risk management, stakeholder relations and audit support Enhance and promote the City of Tshwane corporate brand, ensure consistent application across platforms and conduct market research to monitor brand health
