Job Overview
To assist the principal in managing the school and promoting the education of learners in a proper manner. To maintain a total awareness of the administrative procedures across the total range of school activities and functions.
Formal Qualifications and Inherent Requirements
Qualifications Required
A post graduate qualification in education management and leadership (Recommended)
A recognized three year (REQV 13) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Essential)
A four year (REQV 14) qualification which includes professional teacher education. (Recommended)
Registration as a Professional Teacher with the South African Council for Educators (SACE)/proof of registration (Essential)
Work Experience Required
5 years teaching experience (Essential)
Recommendations
- Utilising technology / ICT in the classroom- Experience in a promotion post (acting or permanent)- Applicants must be suitably qualified and prepared to teach the stated subjects from Grade 8 - 12- Knowledge of SIAS Policy (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support Policy) and White Paper 6.- Experience and/or knowledge in developing individual development plans for learners- Involvement in sport and cultural activities
Other
Experience in parallel-medium school (Eng?). Excellent written, verbal communication with all stakeholders (Eng?). Any one aforementioned subject in FET or any two aforementioned in SEN phase
