Requirements
Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Strategic Management/ Business Administration/ Business Management/ Public Management or Public Administration or related as recognized by SAQA. Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the strategy and planning environment of which three (3) years MUST be at Assistant Director / Junior Management level and valid driver’s license (with exception of person with disability). Core and Process Competencies: Experience in the development, monitoring, and reporting of indicators at the project/sub-program or program level. Sound and in-depth knowledge of relevant prescripts, legislative framework governing the public service e.g. Public Service Act, Labour Relation Act, PFMA, Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements that impact planning in the Human Settlements, Local Government and Traditional Affairs sectors. Knowledge and understanding of government planning practices, Understanding of the public services environment, Strategic Management. Generic Competencies: People Management and Empowerment, Programme & Project Management, Financial Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Client orientation & Customer focus, Problem Solving & Analysis, Communication.
Duties
Manage the process of reviewing Strategic Plan; Manage the process of reviewing APP; Manage the compilation of the annual departmental operational plan; Manage the development of Service Delivery Improvement Plan (SDIP); Manage the audit process for pre-determined objectives.
