POST 02: CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST [GRADE 1 – 3] = 4 POSTS Commencing Salary Package: Grade 1 = R872 709.00 p. a, Grade 2 = R1 014 705.00 p.a. Grade 3 = R1 174 848.00 p.a. plus 12% of basic salary PSCBC rural allowance CENTRES: Dilokong Hospital [1], Mecklenburg Hospital [1], Ellisras Hospital [1], Malamulele Hospital [1] REQUIREMENTS: A) Qualifications and Competencies ? An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Psychologist. ? Current registration with the Health Professions Council [HPCSA] as a Psychologist. ? Experience for Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA. ? Experience for Grade 2: A minimum of 8 years relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist. ? Experience for Grade 3: Minimum of 16 years after registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist. ? Computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Virtual meeting platforms literacy, ? Inherent requirements: Valid driver’s license. B) Knowledge and Skills ? Appropriate clinical knowledge & experience in the field of Clinical Psychology; Psychotherapy, assessment, counselling. ? Analytical report writing skills. ? Knowledge of current health and public service legislation, regulations and policies. ? Sound knowledge of professional ethics. ? IT, research, teaching, time management and training skills. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: ? Provide psychological service delivery at hospital level. ? Participate in hospital teams/committees. ? Support hospital activities related to mental health. ? Supervise work of the psychometrists in the hospital. ? Implement community outreach programmes. ? Liaise and work with other hospital departments. ? Liaise with psychiatric services in the hospital. ? Assist in training for primary health care professionals.
