To supervise tasks relating to the Wet decontamination facility (WDF) according to prescribed work procedures, nuclear licence requirements and SHEQ standards

Duties
1. Supervise the Wet Decontamination activities • Ensure the safe operation of the WDF facility and oversee the uranium inventory • Create, revise and review work procedures and train personnel • Control Decontamination Services' bath criticality by accurate data capturing and reporting. • Segregate material received according to material type and store in the storage block, and manage U-235 to less than 100g per storage block. • Evaporate uranium liquids in the baths and calculate the U235 mass as per procedure. • Ensure that resource requirements are available for the effective and efficient operation of the facility. • Ensure targets for cluster 1 are met as per Waste Management APA 2. Control Decontamination Services processes • Ensure that the Wet Decontamination processes conform to Nuclear licensing requirements • Inspect and ensure that the Wet Decontamination material are stored in the storage blocks as per material type. • Check the uranium limits at Wet Decontamination to comply with the specification • Ensure that uranium components are accepted and cleared according to facility acceptance criteria 3. Nuclear License and SHEQ standards • Conduct BBS to enhance the safety culture of Necsa • Ensure records are kept and sent to central archiving for easily retrieval and for audit purposes • Oversee/the facility equipment inspections and the non-compliances register job cards. • Permit writing and assist in facility maintenance of equipment’s • Ensure that the housekeeping in the facility is maintained
