The role demands maintaining a positive work climate that attracts, retains and motivates employees, and effectively communicating the vision, mission and business strategy to staff and stakeholders. The CEO must establish collaborative multi-stakeholder relationships for creative media and digital skills delivery, create processes for building a strong human capital base, and develop students and researchers to support a knowledge-driven economy. Creating ongoing digital skills development opportunities within government, building a capable and agile learning organisation, and developing revenue generation mechanisms are also key responsibilities. The CEO is further responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on progress against these objectives.
NEMISA is committed to employment equity and preference will be given to suitable applicants from designated groups, so applicants must indicate their equity status. Shortlisted candidates will undergo competency assessments, probity and security checks, and must declare their interests.
