Assist in the implementation of methodologies, policies, systems and procedures with particular reference to Dairy research. Perform scientific analysis and regulatory function, develop and customize scientific models and techniques. Assist in research and development, ensure continuous development to keep abreast with new technology and procedure, dissemination of information through presentation to client base, participate in a prescribed mentoring programme, and assist in basic and applied research under supervision to address nutrition, reproduction, growth and genetics. Requirements
A 4-year BSc Agriculture Animal Science Degree plus compulsory registration with SACNASP as a Candidate Natural Scientist and a valid driver’s license. A degree in Agricultural Management will not be accepted. Knowledge: Scientific methodologies, Research and development, Computer aided scientific applications, Technical report writing and presentation of findings, Professional judgement. Skills: Artificial insemination, creativity, decision making, team work, communication (written/verbal), people management, Computer literacy, networking, change management, planning and organising skills.
