Period: FIVE – MONTHS FIXED TERM
Requirements
Minimum 1 -2 Years relevant experience as a Stage Technician, Props Coordinator, or in a similar technical production role within theatre, film, television, live events, or a related production environment. Matric (NQF level 4)
Duties
Assist with the cataloguing, documentation, and archiving of props and related assets. Capture and update information on inventory management systems and databases. Ensure all props are appropriately classified, photographed, and recorded. Maintain an orderly, secure, and accessible props store and storage areas. Ensure proper storage methods are applied to preserve the condition and longevity of props. Assist in the organisation and maintenance of all props, furniture, set dressing items, and related production assets. Prepare, pack, unpack, and check props for transportation, touring, storage, and other institutional activities. Ensure that all props are correctly labelled, tagged, and tracked. Assist in maintaining accurate prop inventories and stock records. Conduct routine inspections of props to identify damage, wear and tear, or maintenance requirements. Clean, maintain, and prepare props for storage and future use. Carry out minor repairs and refurbishments where appropriate or coordinate repairs with relevant
