    MPUMALANGA REGIONAL TRAINING TRUST Empowerment Through Training CALL FOR NOMINATION OF MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF MPUMALANGA REGIONAL TRAINING TRUST (MRTT) MRTT is listed as a Public Entity in terms of Schedule 3C of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No.1 of 1999), as the Public Entity reporting through the Board of Directors and to the MEC of Education of the Mpumalanga Province. MRTT is mandated: to develop the Human resource base of the Mpumalanga Province through the provision of experiential, practical, technical, hospitality, tourism, entrepreneurship and life skills training, to empower learners, primarily the disadvantaged communities, industrial workers and government employees to participate in the broader economic sphere of the Mpumalanga Province. REQUIREMENTS: The Members of the Board of Directors when viewed collectively, must: - Be committed to South Africa’s long-term development agenda as enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (1996). - Possess a mixed set of competencies demonstrated through their qualifications, experience and expertise in any of the following areas: accounting; audit; finance; financial management & reporting; human resources; corporate governance; IT governance & ethics; legal; supply chain management/procurement and training & development. - Be committed to accountability and the principles of sound corporate governance - Be strategic thinkers, who can determine MRTT corporate strategy, make strategic choices, define policies and guide the priorities of the MRTT. - Committed to the MRTT’s mandate and its objectives. DISQUALIFICATIONS: The following person(s) are not eligible for appointment to the Board of Directors: - An employee of MRTT; - A member of the Provincial Legislature, - A person who is not qualified for appointment as a director of a company - A person who has been declared insolvent by a competent court; - A person who has been convicted of a criminal offence after 27 April 1994 and sentenced to imprisonment without the option of a fine. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The members who previously served are eligible for nomination or application. REMUNERATION The remuneration will be per the provisions of Treasury Regulations. NOMINATION PARTICULARS Nominations should be submitted in writing and must have the following details: 1. Full name(s) and surname and address of the person(s) or organization(s) nominating the candidate; 2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the candidate must include: • The candidate's full name, ID number and gender, contact address, contact numbers, fax numbers and email address, if any, experience, knowledge and skills • Certified copies of academic qualifications and supporting information. • Names and contact numbers details of at least two (2) referees. 3. A signed letter of acceptance of the nomination from the candidate APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE: When appointing suitable candidates' due consideration will be given to gender, race and people living with a disability.
