    Notes

Cadet Learnership Programme in collaboration with PSETA (12 Month Contract) Applications are invited from unemployed youth who have obtained a Grade 12 or NQF4 equivalent qualification for the 2026/27 Cadet Learnership Programme that will run for a 12 Month contract period. This is a Youth Development Empowerment initiative that supports the National Development Plan’s idea of formalized recruitment schemes that through theoretical training and experiential learning, afford unemployed youth of South Africa the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience whilst at the same time, positioning themselves for active and meaningful participation in the labour market. The Cadet Learnership Programme compromises of both theoretical and practical components aimed at training on the National Certificate: Immigration Services which exposes learners to the core business of the Department (Immigration Services). Preference will be given to youth who reside within close proximity of the office where the post is based. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the Cadet Learnership Programme contract. Applications: Applications must be submitted via email or sent to the correct address specified at the bottom of the posts, on or before the closing date, accompanied by a fully completed Application for Employment Form (New Z83, effective from 1 January 2021), obtainable at www.dpsa.gov.za, citing the correct post number and job title, and a comprehensive CV (citing the start and end date dd/mm/yy), job title, duties performed and exit reason for each employment period to be considered, as well as the details of at least two contactable employment references (as recent as possible), regardless of online or manual submission. Shortlisted candidates will also be required to submit a copy of their ID document and a Grade 12 Certificate, Furthermore, applicants who possess (a) foreign qualification(s), are required to submit the evaluated results of such qualifications, as received from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Successful candidates will be subjected to pre-employment screening and security checks. The DHA upholds the right to place or reject applications based on service delivery needs and requirements. Please note that due to a large number of applications expected, applications will therefore not be acknowledged in writing. A very systematic selection process is in place to ensure that we identify appropriate candidates and only a certain number will be selected. Applicants who have previously participated in any Public Service Youth Development Programme, as outlined in the Directive on the Employment of Persons in Developmental Programmes in the Public Service issued by the Minister for the Public Service and Administration, and who are currently receiving any form of financial assistance from government for a youth development programme, will not be eligible for consideration.
